he isn't any worst than our Essex mayor and others who are wasting $$$ on a WEDC when their BIAs are forced to pay into them for the same job.Ask him if the BIA members have a choice NOT

How bout this.. Population and money is needed in Windsor.. here's how it went. First: IMMIGRATION program. They have their own website. Ontario Immigrationhttp://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.aspSecond: REFUGEES: Mexican refugee claimants could head from Windsor to Torontohttp://www.cbc.ca/canada/toronto/story/2007/09/28/tto-refugees.htmlCanada offers refugee protection to people in Canada who fear persecution or whose removal from Canada would subject them to a danger of torture, a risk to their life or a risk of cruel and unusual treatment or punishment. Groups and individuals can sponsor refugees from abroad who qualify to come to Canada. THIRDLY: Ministry of TOURISM WINDSOR TO HOST 2009 TOURISM SUMMIT http://www.searchontario.gov.on.ca/cgi-bin/searchResult.cgi?url=http://www.tourism.gov.on.ca/english/about/n161008.htm&language=EN&keywords=windsorMcGuinty Government Supports Ontario Tourism Excellence So we invested over 400 Million to build the Ceaser's Casino which has devalued by more than 50% in a year. FORTHLY: Residents urged to promote Windsor RETIRING BOOMERS http://www.windsorstar.com/Technology/Promote+Windsor+region+lure+boomers/1169672/story.html That’s why it’s so important area residents serve as “ambassadors” for this region, touting its benefits to tourists who might one day be neighbours supporting the local economyThere seems to a pattern here, but something is missing.... The fulltime residents who built Windsor have been forgotten. We have crumbling infrastructure, our streets are needing repair, our taxes went up but our property value decreased, our core has probably 1 out of every businesses vacant. There are for sales, for rent signs everywhere and the main street as a whole looks like a smile missing quite a few teeth. He's wasted money on brainfart ideas that are all being researched by out of town lawyers (that we (taxpayers) are footing the bill for. We have no jobs, we build nothing and have no industries left. Do I think Eddie is doing a good job? LOLOLOLOL ROFL (getting a kleenex) NO... How do we impeach the moron?

He needs to set priorities. He needs to grow a brain. Windsor is spinning downward and yet we are supposed to be promoting this 100 mile peninsula to attract retirees?? It's a joke. What does Windsor have to offer out-of-towners?? What's the incentive to come to Windsor, set up shop, make a living?? Hundreds of people leaving and not looking back... Mr. Francis there is a reason...

did anyone read how he the Mayor and the County paid a manager $169,000 to run the WEDC that is trying to do what the BIAs take the merchants money to do. They are lost if they think the economy will change because they waste money on the WEDC

GreenLink ads called 'a waste'http://www.windsorstar.com/Entertainment/GreenLink+called+waste/1189186/story.htmlCity to spend more money on Greenlink ad blitzhttp://www.windsorstar.com/Entertainment/City+spend+more+money+Greenlink+blitz/1195670/story.html*********************************************** The city has spent $217,000 so far on its GreenLink advertising campaign, including $19,000 spent on postage as part of a postcard blitz, according to the mayor. Overall, about $5 million has been spent by the city on the truck route debate. That includes about $3.34 million for the DRIC process and another $1.32 million for an Ontario Municipal Board rail bylaw challenge by the Detroit River Tunnel Partnership and the Ambassador Bridge. ********************************************** The city can't even fix their streets or find jobs for us. Do you think Eddie Francis or our government is doing a good job? &*())_^%$$ NO

Eddie is a lawyer, and a slippery politician with greater aspirations. His actions don't represent what is best for Windsor, they are based on what he believes will further his political career and benefit those in his circle. Always look for the true motives for his actions, because they will be different than the reason coming out of his mouth. The truth is his enemy. Who owned the land where the new arena was built, and the land around it? When he stood in front of the camera and said "We need to assess the historical significance of these properties" (re: Indian road boarded-up bridge-co. properties, and the bylaw passed to block their demolition), his eyes darted back and forth with shifty deception. I guess he couldn't really say "We control the bylaws, and we need to delay the bridge company as much as possible. They are our competition for my... our new crossing and if it moves along too quickly people might start to wonder why hundreds of millions are being wasted on another crossing. I know some people that are going to make a lot of money off of this you know! Besides, I think boarded up houses are what people should see when they first enter Canada in Windsor!"

Mississauga: Hurricane Hazel McCallion Where the city is able to assert itself in regional politics is through its mayor, ‘Hurricane’ Hazel McCallion, who has won every mayoral election contested since 1978. Even at 84 years old she shows little sign of withdrawing from Canadian politics, gaining re-election in 2003 and receiving the Order of Canada in 2005 as well as being runner-up in World Mayor 2005. She is the longest serving mayor in Canada and has kept the city debt-free since her first term of office.
