My name if Glenn, I live in South Windsor, and I love the parks and people of Windsor, I hate that not enough is being done to recuperate the job loss.

I'm from Windsor also. I love the various festivals and summer family entertainment events held in Windsor/Essex County, and I hate the smog, pollution, garbage, traffic congestion, road conditions, and consistant high levels of bacteria counts found in every single beach in the area. (opps.. that was more than one wasn't it?? ) Welcome & share..

My name is Arnold and I'm also from Windsor. I am currently a student.
What I like about the city is the huge cultural diversity. The various types of food and customs are interesting. The city is also very generous to charitable organizations.
What I dislike about our city is the overall reluctance to embrace change, the closed mindedness of some of the people and the propensity to go into protectionism and blame mode whenever it feels threatened.
Our city council seems to take forever to make decisions as well.

I'm Barry, grew up on the west end and still live there. I moved out of Windsor and lived in a few cities and provinces for about 20 years and moved back here about 8 years ago.
Windsor has a great waterfront and all the happenings down there in the summer are usually top notch. We have good people from every possible corner of the planet and that makes for good eats.
I don't like how the City can't make up it's mind about much in a timely manner. They don't seem to be doing alot to attract new high skill employers as we have many high skill tradespeople doing not much. I have nothing against Southerland for example (create 1000 more jobs!) but we need to aim higher and take advantage of the skill we have.
Best,
Barry

Hey everyone, im Dru from Windsor.. I currently work downtown at Peppers Bar & Grill... The downtown core NEEDS to get some help... meaning we need more help in getting tourism there.. The city needs to realize that we have a lot of americans that see windsor as a vacation spot or party spot.. so why don't we take advantage of it. There is alot of things we can do to use this to OUR advantage... anyways, I also am the Windsor Regional Director for www.UniversityParty.ca..check out the site and email me if you have questions.. take care Dru

Hi, I'm Shona, born and raised in Windsor.
I'm a west end girl to the core, I've noticed that the feeling is different from west to east.
West enders are a little more layed back, any body else notice this????
What I don't like about Windsor is that we're letting the west end die, it's sad to see.
That and Huron Line truck traffic, so when on god's green earth are we finally gonna do something about it??????????????

I am Micheal, I have been born and raised in Windsor. I have moved to and from Hamilton a few times for many reasons. I am back now and hope to plant my feet. I am currently in the Westend.
I am hobbist Black Smith and like to make Medieval appearal like casual wear armour I call "Urban Armour".
What I like is the people how beautiful river side is with the many sculptures along the way. I also enjoy the many restaurant options and variety of foods.
Windsor Police services and their tendency to abuse authority and power and their lack of follow through in their duties to protect and serve.

Hi I'm Brandon Blake and I'm an alcoholic. Oh...sorry wrong meeting. Brandon Blake. Drive the bus for Transit. Love my job. Live in LaSalle on Malden Rd. Not much positive to say about Windsor. The downtown core is nothing but strip joints, massage parlors, bars, and a Casino. Not very family oriented, just a park off to the side on the riverfront itself. The traffic in Windsor and the speeding on EC Row is unbelieveable (I drive the speed limit in part because I have kids to worry about in my minivan). I think Schwartz was right when he said Windsor as a city has a low self-esteem about itself. I'm a slightly opinionated person i.e. I wrote a letter to the Windsor Star siding with Leone. I'm not saying he should not be held responsible for his actions, my question concerns some of the women he had one night stands with. Why are we letting them off the hook? We as a society now have to pay for their cocktails. Sex is not a private matter. Personal yes. Private no. I'm for faith-based school funding. Government is to remain neutral and act evenhandedly toward ALL citizens in all their diversity. Why do we fund one religious school system over all others? No. I'm not talking about Catholic schools. I'm talking about a secularized public school system. Secularism is very much a view of life. It FUNCTIONS religiously in peoples lives. It is not neutral. Reading, writing and arithmetic may be neutral but science, history, sex education and many other subjects are not. This is the cause of making the public school a political battlefield over what is and is not proper or genuine education and what is artificial. We don't need a public school system to unify us as a country (which is pseudo religious vision itself) anymore than we need a state church. As a matter of fact it can be argued that every political attempt to build a civic commons on the basis of forced conformity to a religious creed, racial designation, political ideology or schooling pattern (even if the majority approves) seems to produce the fruits of its own dissolution.
